Job Summary

Working as a Chef, you will ensure client/customer service satisfaction is attained by providing culinary resources and support. You will be additionally responsible for managing scheduling, discipline, and/or hiring. You will develop new menus and recipes and be involved with ordering. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial Culinary professional. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides frontline culinary resources and support.
  • Achieves desired food cost targets, menu planning, purchasing, and food quality guidelines.
  • Planning and creating menus.
  • Produces and executes catering events.
  • Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team.
  • Managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience and/or equivalent degree or training.
  • Hands-on chef experience is required.
  • Extensive catering experience is preferred.
  • High volume, complex food service operations experience is preferred.
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet experience are required.
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and equivalent experience.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
